What are kuva lich weapons in warframe?
The kuva lich weapons in warframe are one of the new types of items introduced in the “update: fortuna” expansion. These items contain a form of lich (which matches the necromancer-vibe of fortuna) that attaches to your warframe and fights for you. Each of these weapons has a unique set of mechanics.
In Warframe, a kuva lich weapon is a special kind of primary or secondary variant that uses the Kuva as ammo. Kuva is purple in color. Kuva Lich weapons have a special ability that teleports a target a few meters away. Players have a limited number of guns that have kuva as an ammunition type.
Weapons that use kuva as an ammo type can be obtained by defeating Eidolons, via Clan Dojo research or as a rare drop from Sortie missions.
Mechanics of Kuva Lich Weapons
A weapon with a Kuva variant will only provide mastery points once. Kuva weapons also have bonus damage of one type that ranges from 25-60% of the weapon’s base damage, determined at random, with lower percentages being more common.
This extra bonus damage is applied as weapon base damage, so elemental mods and status that scale from base / modified base damage will be affected. The maximum rank of these weapons is 40. To get the highest possible rank, the player must polarize the weapon five times, with each Forma increasing the maximum possible rank by two.
Top 10 Warframe Best Kuva Lich Weapons
Kuva Nukor
Taken straight from the arsenal of the elite Kuva Guardians, this is a weaponized version of their prized creation. The Nukor is a medium-to long-distance weapon that fires bolts of plasma that explode on impact. A burst of secondary fire can knock down enemies and create a defensive bubble that disintegrates incoming projectiles.
The Nukor’s beam is fairly slow-moving, but it can pass through walls and enemies which can be helpful as a defense mechanism against those who would try to flank you. The Kuva Nukor is also one of the few complete shotguns in Warframe, packing a punch at any range.
It has a very high damage per shot, dealing 5x the weapon’s base damage. Furthermore, it has a consistent fire rate, long-range, pinpoints accuracy, and the ability to knock down enemies quickly.
Kuva Bramma
Kuva Bramma is one of the best weapons you can use in Warframe. This weapon is very efficient and effective, as well as being incredibly cheap to build.
The best aspect of this weapon is that it can farm at least two enemies, possibly more depending on the level of the enemies. This means you can kill two high-level enemies, but the third will most likely die before it does any damage to you.
The only downside is the fact that it requires a Sol Atomizer and a Detonite Injector to craft, but these are easy to acquire.
Kuva Kohm
The Kohm is a pistol that fires poisonous projectiles. It also does corrosive damage over time, with each shot stacking the effect, making it useful for stripping enemy armor.
The damage per shot is lower than other similar pistols, but the effect of its projectiles makes it effective at dealing damage over time. The Kuva Kohm is a reward for completing the assassination of Vay Hek within 100 seconds, and can also be bought from Baro Ki’Teer for 175,000 175,000 and 225,000 225,000 with a free inventory slot.
It is the only secondary weapon with a third enhancement slot, allowing for one more polarity to be added.
Kuva Brakk
The Kuva Brakk is a blunt weapon that drains the enemy’s health but also has no conceivable way of dealing Slash damage. It is particularly useful against enemies with high health, or for any situation where you might need to do high damage over a short period of time. Using the Brakk efficiently requires planning and positioning, but it’s possible to make Brakk runs very effective.
The upshot for this weapon is that it does more damage than almost anything else you can carry, and slots into your melee weapon position. It also has the highest status chance of all melee weapons, making it ideal against higher-level enemies with larger health pools.
The downside is that its attack speed is utterly abysmal. You’ll be lucky to land one shot per second. It makes up for its slow fire rate with a ton of damage per shot and a truckload of accuracy, but without status to take advantage of its high damage, it’s going to be an extremely tough sell.
Kuva Shildeg
The Kuva Shildeg, when cast against an enemy, releases a stationary ring of energy that pulses for 4 seconds. Anything caught in the ring’s radius is instantly slain, after which it replenishes or revives allies to full health (depending on whether they’re alive or dead, respectively). Enemies slain this way do not drop pickups.
This is the only weapon in the game that does not have a damage stat. It only works on enemies; it cannot be cast on allies or the Warframe itself (excluding Operators).
Kuva Seer
Simply put, the Kuva Seer is one of the best weapons in Warframe . It is a secondary rifle that fires perfectly accurate beams that bounce off surfaces and zoom in twice as far as your normal weapons.
The Kuva Seer has a unique and strong mechanic: instead of charging it, you need to collect Kuva, which is thrown by enemies when killed. These beams scale with enemy level and do not bounce off Corpus Nullifiers, meaning that is almost impossible to farm Kuva on the harder bosses.
The Seer also has a special ability: with it, you can mark up to four targets and deal massive damage on them. Once you get this weapon to level 30, it will become one of your most valuable assets.
Kuva Zarr
Kuva Zarr is a shotgun that has a ton of utility with its large magazine size, good status chance, and high slash damage. It is an excellent weapon for new players looking to farm Kuva Siphon missions.
Radiation Status Procs – A random proc, either Radiation or Blast procs on every pellet. This can be a very powerful proc, but it does have the drawback of not being able to focus on a single target.
Kuva Hind
Kuva Hind is a special version of the vanilla Hind. It’s available as an Invasion reward (please note that it currently seems to be bugged and not dropping for a lot of people).
The Kuva Hind’s special ability is to generate a ring that will stealth all friendly units within. Any enemies caught within the ring will be unable to see anything on their screens.
This is very useful when in a squad of both sentinels and warframes. It will benefit all allies in the vicinity. And it also benefits cloaked sentinels!
Kuva Chakkhurr
The Kuva Chakkhurrs is the only Warframe exclusive melee weapon that’s craftable, and cannot be obtained through the Market. The only way to obtain it is by completing the mission “Fomorian Sabotage” (which is part of the “The Sacrifice” quest).
The Kuva Chakkhurr has a very large range. It comes with a fixed ground attack and its secondary attack allows you to throw it at enemies. If thrown, the Kuva Chakkhurr will fly up and hit enemies in a descending manner, dealing high AoE damage in an area of effect once it hits the ground.
Kuva Twin Stubbas
A Kuva version of the Twin Rogga, the twin-barreled burst action rifle. The ability to fire 2 shots at once can turn the tide of battle when it is needed, but due to its reduced clip size of 4 shots, it needs to be used sparingly.
A powerful burst action warframe rifle that fires 2 shots per trigger pull. For an archetype that fires dozens of bullets per second, they have a moderate fire rate of 10, a high-status chance, solid critical stats, and high base damage.
F.A.Q
What are the Kuva Lich types?
Each of typesKuva Lich weapons has unique stats and variants based on your unique Lich. Here are some categories:
- Primary: Kuva Karak, Kuva Kohm, Kuva Hind, Kuva Bramma, Kuva Chakkhurr, Kuva Quartakk,..
- Secondary: Kuva Nukor, Kuva Brakk, Kuva Seer, Kuva Twin Stubbas, Kuva Kraken, …
- Melee: Kuva Shildeg
- AchgunKuva: Kuva Ayanga
Where to Find A Kuva Lich?
When you kill a Kuva Larvaling with the Parazon on a Level 20 (or higher) Grinner mission, a Kuva Lich will spawn. You’ll come across a red waypoint on your Grinner mission. That should alert you to the presence of a Kuva Larvaling nearby. If you kill it, it will instantly transform into a Kuva Lich.
Based on the Kuva Larvling, you will be able to predict which type of Kuva Lich will spawn. So, if you don’t want to spawn a Kuva Lich of an unfavorable type (because you can’t get rid of it once you get it), avoid killing the Kuva Larvaling and redo the mission until you succeed.
Does KUVA Lich level affect weapons?
Yes, in a way. If you have the same weapon in level 1 and in level 4, it will be much stronger when you upgrade it to level 4. Upgrading a weapon scales up its stats, magic attack, and minimum/maximum critical damage.
Conclusion
Kuva weapons and gear might be the most sought-after items in Warframe. With some luck, you can find them through random drops or by completing certain Alerts. If you are looking for a specific weapon or want to upgrade an old favorite that has been sitting around collecting dust, then it is time to start trading! Trading kuva will allow players who need equipment pieces they cannot acquire otherwise access them without having to do all the work themselves. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and trade away so that everyone can enjoy these new rewards from The Second.
