Click to expand… The fault will almost certainly be the laser/optical assembly, cleaning the lens ‘may’ produce some improvement but the only real cure is to replace the laser/optical assembly. Cleaning doesn’t help much, because you can’t clean inside the optics, and those get dirty as well.

Tried a cotton bud with some lens cleaner on the lens of my older make of Bose wave radio CD player after I blasted it with cool air from my hairdryer then put in a disk cleaner and after it sitting for a year or two in my spare room it now works thank you so much.
